* Surface Preparation:
Remove dirt, grease, oil and excessive moisture and frost. Remove loose rust, paint and foreign matter by hand or power tool.
Apply a thin coat CNPetro-Paste. The Paste shall be applied to threads, cavaties, shoulders, pits and other irregularities.
Stuff petrolatum mastic in uneven areas such as flanges, valves. Cavaties. The Petro-Mastic shall be molded and packed into irregularities to eliminate bridging and voids.
Wrap CN petrolatum tape around the surface while applying tension to assure tight tape adhesion.
Outer wrap protection tape (Vinyl Tape or PVC tape) recommended

2. Tape Application: The petrolatum tape is wrapped around the tank, overlapping each layer by approximately 50%. It is important to apply sufficient tension to ensure a tight fit and complete coverage of the tank surface. The tape can be easily molded to irregular shapes and contours of the tank.
3. Mastic Filler: In areas with protrusions, welds, or other irregularities, a mastic filler may be applied before wrapping the tape. The mastic filler helps to provide additional protection and ensure a smooth surface for the tape application.
4. Overwrapping: After the initial layer of petrolatum tape is applied, an additional layer of PVC or polyethylene tape may be applied as an overwrap. This overwrap provides added mechanical protection and enhances the overall durability of the corrosion protection system.
